A State Fair Exhibit is about to open in Minnesota, hosted by its very own Department of Agriculture. The event will run from the 22nd of August and will wrap up on Labor Day. Those wanting to attend will have more than enough time to do so, considering it’ll be open 12 hours per day. The fair will accept visitors from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day it’s open.
For those interested in agriculture, the state fair is, without a doubt the place to be. They’ll be able to talk to farmers about their crops, and receive a free Minnesota Grown Directory copy that logs local farms and farmers markets. Inexperienced farmers can benefit greatly from talking with those who were in the agriculture business before them.
You can even bring your kids! Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom has made sure activities aimed at children are available. Each day, starting from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m., your young ones can partake in a different task. Those will include, but will not be limited to, making seed balls, bracelets, seed mixes, or necklaces that they’ll be allowed to take home.
One of the main draws of the fair is certainly the industrial hemp showcase. The now legalized plant is one of the biggest crazes in agriculture. Over 600 processors and growers will be present and willing to talk about the growing process and their experiences.
While the event runs, you’ll be able to find it in the Agriculture/Horticulture’s North hall. The building is situated in the northeast corner of Judson Avenue and Underwood street.
